James Suckling - Amerika

James SucklingJames Suckling is een Amerikaanse wijnkenner en zeer invloedrijke wijnschrijver. Hij zette het Europese kantoor op van Wine Spectator, het bekende Amerikaanse wijnmagazine, en woont al sinds 1987 in Europa.

Hij werkte bijna dertig jaar als journalist voor Wine Spectator, publiceerde talloze artikelen over wijn en een boek over vintage port, en proefde in die periode gemiddeld zo’n 4000 wijnen per jaar.

In 2010 begon hij een eigen website, JamesSuckling.com, waarop hij wijnen uit de hele wereld presenteert en beoordeelt. Daarnaast organiseert hij onder andere grote, prestigieuze wijnproeverijen.
